Locked out of your car or trunk in Coronado or San Diego? We come to you and open it without damage.
Every day, 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM
Our car lockout service covers Coronado and the bay-side neighborhoods of San Diego, every day from 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Keys locked inside, keys shut in the trunk, a fob that stopped working, a door that will not unlock. We drive to where your car is parked and open it with tools made for your model, so the paint, the glass and the weatherstrip stay the way they were.
One thing first. If a child or a pet is inside the car and in any danger, call 911 before you call us. Once everyone is safe, call or text (619) 313-6749 and we will take it from there.
For everything else, tell us where you are and what you drive. The price we quote is the price. If the job turns out to be different once we see the car, we stop and requote before going on. You check the doors yourself before we leave.
You load the boards and the wet towels into the trunk at the ocean-side lot, close it, and realize the keys went in with them. We open the driver's door and release the trunk from inside the cabin. On most cars that release works as soon as the door is open; if it has been switched off for a valet, we open the trunk lock directly.
The rental's fob is on the passenger seat and the hotel's front desk cannot help with the car. We open a rental the same way we open any car, without a mark on the door, in the lot on Hotel Circle North or South. Have the rental agreement on your phone along with your ID; we open rentals, but keys for a rental come from the rental company.
You unlocked the car, tossed the keys onto the seat through the open window while you sorted the rods, and the doors relocked. We come to the lot at the foot of the pier and open the door without touching the glass or the paint. Many cars relock themselves when no door is opened soon after the remote unlocks them; it is a setting, not a fault.
Send your location, the make and model, and a photo of the car if you have one. We confirm the price right then.
We drive to you at the curb, a garage or a lot. Have your ID handy so we can match it to the vehicle.
We use the entry method that fits your car, then have you test the doors and the remote before we leave.
Lockouts happen in the same places people leave their cars. Along Orange Avenue in Coronado, in the garage at the Hotel del Coronado, at Silver Strand State Beach, or at the Coronado Ferry Landing when the fob was left on the boat. Across the bridge we cover the downtown parking garages, the Gaslamp Quarter, Petco Park on game nights and Seaport Village. In Point Loma we get calls from Liberty Station and Shelter Island, and in Ocean Beach from the lots near the OB Pier and Dog Beach. Anywhere between Pacific Beach and Chula Vista, tell us the closest landmark and we will find you.
We use tools made for your specific make and model and protect the door edge and weatherstrip while we work. The aim is no mark: a door that looks and seals as it did before.
A photo ID and something that ties you to the car, like the registration, an insurance card or the title. We check ID before we start. If your papers are inside the car, we check them as soon as the door is open. While you wait, our Coronado car lockout guide covers what to check first.
Yes. We open the door as we would for any lockout. Once you are in, many push-button cars will still start if you hold the dead fob against the start button. If the fob has failed, our key fob programming service can replace it on the spot.
No. We are an automotive locksmith only, for cars, trucks, SUVs and vans in Coronado and across San Diego's bay side. For a house or a storefront, look for a residential or commercial locksmith.
